Warning : You'd better not to open the Gate. It can't be changed, and the box hasn't been made that for.
The gate integrates two electronic cards, which both have a particular use. The first one contains communication module and is at the bottom of the cap. The second one integrates the motherboard dedicated to information management, and is built with an Intel's processor: The celeron M 360 clocked at 600Mhz, and with 512kbytes of L2 cache. Input/outputs, including displaying, are managed by the Intel 855GM chipsets, allowing use of some 3D OpenGL extensions. The shots on this site are developement machines, but they are near the final production systems.
The Gate has an external extension connector integrated in the box (under the head limited by the blue ligne) on which many signals are sent back to the motherboard. This port will be used for future uses.
The communication board integrates ADSL modem and routeur functions. The ADSL modem lets the gate connect to the NeufCegetel network with a maximal bandwidth of 8Mbps. The routing function permiet it to act as an internet router with other IP equipement such as computers.
3 ports on the communication board are at the back of the Gate and lets the board being connected to the telephonic network (the easy_neuf service isn't based on a total degroupage and needs to have a submission to the historical operator, the unlimited telephony is permit by the automatic preselection of the customer's ligne to the Neuf Cegetel network).
The terminal is a multiple layer board, which actif composants are located on both faces, in order to decrease the place needed. The board has been specialy made for the project.

The board is ventilated using 2 fan integrated in the box. The use of 2 fans helps in case of one fails.
La carte est ventilée en employant deux ventilateurs intégrés au boîtier. L'emploi de deux ventilateurs permet de pallier une défaillance éventuelle de l'un d'entre eux.
